As I was saying, we were discussing airborne OFF members in chat and thought Homer would make a good hot-air balloon. (It's not really finished, but I'm afraid I can't do much more due to a dying computer). With any luck, here he is:

It's funny. It's beautiful. It's not Lisa.
I love it!

It's [Principal?] Bigbutt!
Everything Terry said. I find no faults with this picture. Homer's scarily tapering arms and legs are a bit, well, scary, but I can't see how to do it otherwise.
Things I particularly like are the wonderfully tangible stitches, the colouring of course, and the pink novelty straw. Homer is very on-model for a balloon. The sky is simple but excellent: I can see brushstrokes in it.
Another stunning piece from Beb.
EDIT: And I forgot to mention Homer's floating hairs.

Well, I'll be darned if that's not one of the funnest, more interesting pieces I've seen here. Seriously, it's impressive and lighthearted at the same time. I don't know if that's what you mean by its "unfinishedness", but I like the overall emptiness of the sky, which makes the pic look like that "serious art" I've seen in other places. That's just neat. Surrealistic and funny.

<Blomman> who was it that got married here? <Alexander> Oh, that was a drunken night in Vegas I'd rather forget... <Alexander> I mean... Graham and Chris. <Blomman> really? <Alexander> Yes. <Blomman> not that i'm against that kind of thing, but isn't that like, uh, illegal in some states? <Alexander> I could explain, but I don't want to. ------------------------------------------------------ * Alexander is trying to avoid becoming one-dimensional. <Alexander> I've just had a terrible, frightening thought. <Alexander> I've been fleshing out Mara's character, right? Giving her depth? In the meantime, what's happening to *me*? <gkscotty> obviously she's siphoning off your "reality" <Alexander> Dear God. <Graham> She's a vampire! <Graham> A lesbian vampire! <gkscotty> pretty soon, it'll be Mara writing stories about Alex falling in love with Lisa. SHAMELESS PLUG COMMENCINGI have a dA page. Check it out.

Hahaha, nice one Besides being funny, it's acturaly one of the most original pieces of fanart I've seen and is really drawn beautifully. I love how you've used nice warm tones in the colouring, gives it a dreamy look and feel to it. Great job

Great use of color and space. Wow, Beb! You are back to claim your crown. And let me put it to you. Whew! This is one of the best pics of Homer I've ever seen, and funny too. Kudos!

Thanks, guys, you cheer me up. As far as finishing goes: I mainly needed to tidy up the edges a bit more. The beer cans are supposed to be Duff Lite but it's hard to see, so I'll fix that too sometime. Thanks again. * Beb places an empty Slurm cup on her head and tries to look haughty

Homer: Marge? Since I'm not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup? Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa. Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won't be used on any meat product. Bart: You dunkin' your sausages in that syrup homeboy? Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning. Marge: Tell him yourself, you're ignoring Lisa, not Bart. Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out. Marge: Homer, you're not not-talking to me and secondly I heard what you said. Homer: Lisa, tell your mother to get off my case. Bart: Uhhh, dad, Lisa's the one you're not talking to. Homer: Bart, go to your room.
