Inspired by Chris' last paragraph there.

Almost forgot to post this. If you've not watched a certain excellent anime you might not recognise the costume.

Another Bart-chan pic.

Not sure about Lisa's expression. I wanted to make it look as if she had been laughing hard, but I don't think I nailed it.

Fixed it up a little bit but still not 100% I think.

Why draw Allison in a costume from YuGiOh?

I dunno, you tell me.

Character design for an odd notion that's been bouncing around my head for a while. More characters to come.

She needs alcohol to get through the working day.

Jokes aside, I like what you've done with her body here. It just looks... stable, and real. Possibly because she has a more mature build than the characters you usually draw. Her hands are still not perfect, but I can see you're making steady improvements with hands. Her face is good on the frontal image (though it looks very young). On the profile one, I think her nose should stick out more. The armour is just excellent.

There's a lot of backstory in her character profile. And, well, paladins are my favourite character class. (Them and bards.)

I need to review more of your art.

I'm not at all familiar with this character-class business, but yay neat things with interesting armour and details! I don't know if you have refs or anything, but I couldn't think up half this stuff.

Things I can see you're getting better at: hand size, feet, limb shape, and making faces look different on animé-style characters. Jasintha's really suits her, imo.

Concrit: the profile poses look stiff. The head shouldn't sit right at the top of the shoulders (the neck protrudes forward a bit), and the arms, when relaxed, should bend slightly at the elbow, and the hands should come forward. Doing more pics with action lines would be useful*.

Nitpick: Jasintha's bellybutton should be lower (I'd say move it down 1x its own length).

Good luck with future giant-sworded people.

*There's also the 'do poses in front of a big mirror until passers-by become concerned' method, but I'm not sure how professional that is.

David, I am unsure what to make of your email. Do you have pets in the apartment or not?

Dear Helen,
No. I have a goldfish but due to the air conditioner in my apartment being stuck on a constant two degrees celsius, the water in its bowl is iced over and he has not moved for a while so I do not think he is capable of disturbing the neighbours. The ducks in the bathroom are not mine.

I should have reviewed this before... I find Jasintha adorable, little fangs and all. She has a great expression, and her nose in profile looks a lot better than Allison's. You've done a very good job on her outfit and wings as well.

Does she walk on her toes all the time?

JASINTHA: "Adorable"? I am a powerful demonic force! And the legions of darkness will applaud me as I stride through the gates of Hell, carrying your head on a pike!

Sorry. Couldn't resist a Monkey Island quote.

Thanks Beb and Chris. There's a strong possibility I'll do more with these two soon (provided I don't get dragged off to drawing sailor senshi or something...)

An insight into the strange game of madlibs I play in my head when I draw.

OK, it's going to be (rolls) child (rolls) "Lisa" with (rolls) really long hair and (rolls) a katana.

Context? Who needs it?

The long hair kinda works for me. Maybe the get it from marge.

Fav is prob lisa with the wings. not so much for the wings as her hands, which have some nice foreshortening and are a non-trivial pose. Makes the whole picture  a lot more 3D feeling.
