No, but as anyone who has seen a few of my DM avatars will know I have some knowledge in the ways of spriting. And that's the reason for this thread. For the past few days, I've been focused on making this picture. I don't really know what inspired me to do it, but I'm glad whatever it was did. I've crafted all the sprites here myself, piecing together bits and bobs from the original, and in some cases, completely remodelled them. The only thing I didn't do was the background (although I had to put the two screens together, and redraw the upper part)
You may not think putting together sprites is 'art', but I'll let you decide that after you've seen... The Ultimate Showdown.
(By the way, I know I screwed up some things, but it's the best I could do...)

<Blomman> who was it that got married here? <Alexander> Oh, that was a drunken night in Vegas I'd rather forget... <Alexander> I mean... Graham and Chris. <Blomman> really? <Alexander> Yes. <Blomman> not that i'm against that kind of thing, but isn't that like, uh, illegal in some states? <Alexander> I could explain, but I don't want to. ------------------------------------------------------ * Alexander is trying to avoid becoming one-dimensional. <Alexander> I've just had a terrible, frightening thought. <Alexander> I've been fleshing out Mara's character, right? Giving her depth? In the meantime, what's happening to *me*? <gkscotty> obviously she's siphoning off your "reality" <Alexander> Dear God. <Graham> She's a vampire! <Graham> A lesbian vampire! <gkscotty> pretty soon, it'll be Mara writing stories about Alex falling in love with Lisa. I'm... speechless. Really. My goodness, that's the best thing I've seen all month!
I don't know whether it's sad or not that I can recognise every single Lisa on there...

Genius. I can't name a few of the Lisas but the whole thing is spectacular. You can art! (You do know you're going to have to animate a few of these, right? )

It's clever, but is it art? Yes it is!
This picture is a pure delight. Very good sprite job! I particularly like your takes on Suzy, Samantha, Lisa Fitzgerald and "Child of Darkness"-Lisa, but seriously, they're all so good. Nice placement, poses, everything.
Yes, that should be all of them.

Clobber Girl and the version from "The Old Man and the Lisa" are cool too. But I'm a little surprised you don't have the version from "Bart vs. Australia", unless that's her on the lower left.

Nah, I was going more for the 'alter ego' type of Lisa, rather than a costume change, otherwise I'd need to put in Lisa in her Sunday clothes, her Floreda costume... Cool Lisa is the exception, but since she was trying to be a different person anyway, I think I can just get away with it. (plus she looks, well, cool) And for those that want to know who's who, here's the list, starting from the bottom left corner going clockwise: RPG Lisas (These two squaring off are Lisa from both Steve's and my RPGs, respectively.) Lisa Fitzgerald (From Jenny's fic of the same name) Cool Lisa (From episode Summer of 4ft 2) Lisa the Conjurer (From Bartman comic #5) Vampire Lisa (From Graham's Child of Darkness fic) Winged Lisa (Take your pick) Suzy (From Graham's Lisa2 fic) Sprite (From Steve's The Justice League of Springfield fic (I think, it's been a while...)) Super Lisa (From the Simpsons Arcade Game, Lisa's extra life costume as she comes back) Link Lisa (Alright, this is a bit of a cheat since I've only mentioned it in chat, this is from a fic idea I had and started writing) Samantha (From Steve's The Ionic Sequence Part 2: Explorers fic) Sailor Moon-Lisa (From Steve's Simpmoon fic) Anime Lisa (with Linguo) (From The Simpsons Game) Clobber Girl (From Treehouse of Horror X, Desperately Xeeking Xena) The Jazzler (From Simpsons Comic When Bongos Collide! Part 2) And finally, Lisa (From the Simpsons Arcade Game, and I imagine she's feeling a bit overwhelmed right now...)

That's completely awesome, Alex. As many thumbs up as I have available. Sprite (From Steve's The Justice League of Springfield fic (I think, it's been a while...)) Yep, that's right.

Thanks everyone. I really enjoyed making this picture, (and I've been playing The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny on my iPod a lot more than usually lately) even if some of the sprites seemed impossible from the beginning (the only frame of reference I had for the Sprite sprite (ha, I made a funny) was a side-on headshot I found in the list of avatars for this forum...) While I set up a lot of the poses and places intentionally, I found afterwards that some fun stuff is apparent that I hadn't intended on from the start. For example, while I always intended for Lisa Fitzgerald to be hiding behind Cool Lisa, I hadn't intended on her being in the Fire Station. (I had to add the Fire Station once I discovered one 'screen' just wasn't going to be big enough) I set up the Anime Lisa/Sailor Moon-Lisa fight pretty early, simply because of the anime vs anime factor. However, I didn't count on the fight itself being interesting. It looks like Sailor Moon-Lisa would win with her tiara ready, but the moment she starts yelling her attack, Linguo would fix her grammar, but GOOD. This is perhaps the best unintentional thing I've ever done. (You do know you're going to have to animate a few of these, right? ) Oh, I know, I know... This would be such an awsome game...
Ha! You know what? Yesterday, I got dragged to the local arcade by my younger cousin, and at one point we actually ended up on the Simpsons Arcade game (yes, they've got a fully functional arcade game there. I'm as surprised as you are) I kept expecting a horde of Lisas to attack at some point...
