two mildly useless answers:
I can't find any option to change language either. According to this place it should be in account related settings, but only if the relevant language packs have been installed. I guess they haven't.

Secodnly the chatroom works just fine when I tried it there now (I even waved hello to SuzyQ) so I'm guessing that there was either a netsplit or similar glitch when you tried it (maybe the applet wasn't downloading properly), or there's a problem at your end. I'd say try it again later and see if it's still not working.

I think Graham removed the language option when upgrading the board. I had mine switched to "German" and was kinda locked out after the update (i. e. the buttons didn't show up etc.).

The language problem is down to how SMF works, verses how Yabb used to do things. I'm not clear on the details but the upshot is that the current forum theme doesn't include language information for non-english speakers, so there's no option for it in the profile. One of these days I'll fix that...

Arg! God damn it man, does anyone (exept comisar for legal reasons) know what I have to download to make this work?

I load it up and it cant connect to the server where the chat is being held.
And then it comes onto a dodgy screan where the chat is supposed to be.

I got so much time here on my bill... I show you....

I have no idea what that error says, because its never loaded. When I click the cross and log in, this happens....

It starts to load, but it takes AGES! Before it took about a second, now it takes about a minute. When it does load up....

This happens. And thats all I can see. I tryed to type stuff in, but couldnt see anything.

Its prolly a routine thing or somthing is being fixed or I've come on the wrong time, but its winding me up.
All the time its doing that, this is at the start bar

And it never pops up. I click it and nothing happens.

Then as the grande fanale... I try to close it by Windows task manager, and it logs me off AOL.

Any idea's what I can do to fix it?

The "security" thing is supposed to be asking if you want to download and run the chat applet. Evidently your computer is a big, how shall I put this? Buggered.

Well perhaps not. Perhaps it just doesn't like that particular applet. You cou8ld try goig to simpworks.com/pjirc and seeing if that works.

No supprise here then Smiley

I've been working all night on this, and I think I might have got it on my last shot. But I need a weekend for me to try and see if you can spot me there.

I've tryed clicking randomly on all the warnings, re-installing the Java thingy, then...... a classic Mat J way of dealing things... Delete everything and try again.

I think it might have worked, but we'll soon find out.

I just think its better to ask AND try to fix it other than try to fix it THEN ask.
Cheers for the help mate Smiley
