Ok, I've got a question about an episode I've never seen before.  Can someone tell me what's going on in this picture?

Who is Marge dancing with?  Is this some kind of high school reunion?  That would be strange if it was.  What was this episode called, what season and what was it about?  ARg I'm confused  Huh Huh

DABF04  Half Decent Proposal

Marge, with a little help from Patty, Selma, and Jack (Daniels), E-mails Artie Ziff, who offers $1,000,000 for a weekend ("no funny business") alone with her - money they could use for an operation to make Homer stop snoring.

I think one of the best of season 13, good plot, nice charachterization of everyone (i liked artie!) and a touching  plot with an hilatious ending Smiley

Second only to "Little girl in big ten" imho.

Wow this brings up a few more questions then.  So is this just a dance or is it a high school reunion.  I don't think all those people were in Marge's class, or were they, or was this just a dance place they went to?

Well, Artie used his money to recreate the Prom of the "infamous" night when Marge left him. Hoping to make things right and  get Marge back this time. I won't spoil further Grin

No please do spoil.  Grin hehe.  I actually need to know for a story I'm writing and I don't want to have any inconistancies if possible.  I might never get to see this ep.  So did he just invite people from town or were these old class mates?  And artie was the valadictorian wasn't he?

*SPOILER*

Ah-hem:
Marge, sick of Homer's snoring and her logical impossibility to sleep, goes to Patty and Selma for the night. There she has a "ladies party", where they exceed a bit with al-key-hol. Seeing on the news that Artie is now the second or third most rich person in Springfield, the sisters convince (well, they do all of the work) Marge to send him an e-mail.
Upon receiving it, Artie decides it's time for him to fulfill his lifelong dream... spending a night with Marge.
So he lands in OFF's garden ( Grin ) and offers Marge and Homer 1,000,000$ . At first MArge is obviously not happy with this thing, but they need cash for Homers nose surgery so she accepts, having made clear the night does not involve "funny things".
So, Artie prepares things to recreate perfectly the same night as the one of the Prom of years before. Marge stays at the game, even because Artie seems to be really change. But he isn't and during the dance he forcibly kisses Marge. Homer (hidden on the ceiling) sees the scene and misunderstands, believing that Marge did it willingly. He runs away with an hilarious ref to "back to the future" Grin . Marge slaps Artie and runs away too, but she comes home too late and finds a tape where Homer says he's going away.

Gah, this is going long, so i guess alkll that interested you was up here. I'll cut off a bit the ending Smiley
Then, with the help of Artie, she manages to find Homer and brings him to safety before something very bad happens (Homer went to work with Carl at a petroil extraction site).
Artie and Marge says goodbye each other forever ( ? ), and Artie solves Homers snoring problem in a way that would be too hard to describe here Grin

Hey thanks.  I appreciate that.  I just want to know if he invited people from town then.  Like I said, the people inthe dance most likely weren't in Marge's class right?

I like how Skinner was behind the times and wore his '60s Mod suit. Grin
