Hey guess what? I got my Leela and Zapp figures today!

Actually I'm a little disappointed. Leela's arms move nicely at the shoulder, but that's about it. No elbows, no wrists... she can stand to attention or she can do a zombie impression. Zapp works, he's got a nice pose, so you can forgive the lack of elbow movement, but Leela just looks like she's frozen in a tube of some sort. And her legs can't move at all, they just twist at the waist. Which sucks.

Well that's not strictly fair, I've managed to get a decent enough pose out of her, but there aren't many options, especially compared to Fry.

Awesome. Shame about the lack of posability with Leela though, but otherwise those figures kick some serious ass.

Hopefully there'll be enough demand for a new, more poseable wave to turn up.

Actually it's a funny thing, but I've noticed that the Futurama characters seem to work a lot better in 3d. The sculpting on the Simpsons figures is... wrong, somehow, even taking into account the fact that they have that weird hair. The faces suck. Maybe I'm just jaded by the quality difference between the two shows.

That really sucks about the lack of mobility.  I thought they'd all be posable in the same way the Fry figure is.  They look nice, but now I'm not sure I want to hunt down a Leela figure anymore.

Awesome, Graham!  Kinda makes me wonder where my Chief Wiggum figure went to...

Ah, those are wonderful!  I've wanted some for a long time, they're really well made.

Turn the Zapp figure upside down.  He's not wearing anything under that skirt!

Got hold of the old Moore Action Collectibles version of Leela (and also a Planet Express ship! Very handy reference for something I've been working on). The Fry I got is basically the same sculpt as the MAC Fry, though I'm tempted to buy that and the old Bender for the background display stands they have.

The sculpt of the old figure... sucks. Most of the body is nicely articulated and most of it looks all right but her face is just wrong. So very, very wrong... on the other hand she comes with a Nibbler (with little litter tray complete with poop) and a couple of guns, so it's not a total loss. I'm tempted to buy another Toynami Leela and put her head on the other one's body to see how it looks.

I see what you mean about the face being wrong. Quite a shame, especially since despite the poor face I think the colour of the hair is more accurate to Leela's real hair colour, while the one with the better face's hair almost looks like Universe 1 Leela.
