This week was not only a step up, but also a severe challenge to my perception of reality. I mean, voices during the intro? Simpson eyes with irises? Milhouse cool? Made my brain hurt.

Anywho, a good episode I thought this was. We got more of those wonderful things called emotions from the characters. Always a good thing. Gotta love Brooding Loner Milhouse.

I liked the song. And...apparently, both sides of Milhouse's family have the same last name. That is weird. Uncle Zack was neat, even though he didn't look anything like the other Van Houtens.

This was a pretty good episode - didn't care for the introductory scene, but emotion built nicely:

Did anyone else for Milhouses' cool Uncle to stick around and keep raising him?  I thought distant!Milhouse was amusing, and having Lisa pine after him for awhile would've been a refreshing change of pace.  Eh, it's better for Kirk and Luanne NOT to have ended up dead in this situation, because it was pretty much Death Night on Fox (with Cotton dying on KOTH, half the cast not-really dying on Family Guy and Hayley Smith basically killing Stan on AD).

The Marge/Homer subplot was pretty adorable - it was one of those very Homerish things for him to forget, and one of those Margeish things for her to become distressed enough to do what she did - and very him to do anything he could to remember so she'd stop being mad.  Some of the Scully-esque touches could've gone, though.

Not too bad - Letter Grade: B
