What a huge dissapointment in every way. I'm officially bummed out about the new Halloween Specials. Only THOH 12 was worse

My Quick Thoughts:

Opening: Loved Marge and the bump characters - how many of us have ever wished we could do that?

Seg 1: Nice use of Kodos, and I actually found Homer amusing.  The thing with the tentacles and the shower went on too long.  B-

Seg 2: Not a Halloween thing, more of an AU one, but the best executed of the three segs.  Assertive!Marge forever and always rocks my socks. A

Spoiler (hover to show)

Seg 3: Weakest of the three, but I found Ned wonderfully amusing.  C

ETA: Maurice LeMarche described a segment in TOH which got cut on his myspace blog:

Apparently, everyone at FG didn't like that so Fox forced them to cut it?  Too bad - would've been funny.

Unfortunately I've had a request to remove certain posts from this topic after claims were made regarding some of their content. I'm trying to sort out the details. Carry on reviewing for now. Smiley

The Scots (originally Irish, but by now Scotch) were at this time inhabiting Ireland, having driven the Irish (Picts) out of Scotland; while the Picts (originally Scots) were now Irish (living in brackets) and vice versa. It is essential to keep these distinctions clearly in mind (and verce visa).

All I can say is that this is by far the worst THOH I've ever seen.  I hope they make up for this *word not in dictionary* before even more fans stop watching the simpsons.

A C- from me, unfortunally.  Maybe with those pieces that Dane said that were cut out, I would have a different opinion.  Sometimes small things make a big difference.  I have to wait until the dvd comes out to find out.

Let's see, THOH 18 hasn't even shown where I live, but I saw the Mr and Mrs Simpson segment on Youtube...

All I can say is: Well excuted and thought out, but seeing Homer and Marge shooting and damaging the house at each other was a bit offputting and very disturbing. Secondly, this section didn't even seem to belong in a Halloween segment, it seemed all Alternate Universe.

Also: How did Marge's hair fit under that blonde wig? "Mystery Skank"  Marge! (LOL)

But I DID enjoy the bits where Homer eats the lagsana and the ironic twist of Homer/Marge being both assasins. Homer has a secret agent's lair in his bathroom?  D'oh!

I also laughed when Lisa and Bart were totally oblivious to Marge and Homer's intentions/destruction of living room. "Are you fighting over us again?" "Icecream, icecream!"

I give it 7.5/10
