Bumping this thread because it's movie-related but not a spoiler or review:

Opening Weekend Domestic Gross = 71.9 million. EW is touting it as the best opening gross ever for a non-cgi animated movie, and the best ever gross for a movie based on a TV show.  It's a huge success, stateside!

I can testify to the fact that theatres showing the movie were a madhouse this weekend! 

Any reports from other countries?

Not sure about here, but Rove mentioned that it was the highest grossing opening for an animated movie in Australian history.

Over here it got the third-highest non-sequel opening ever, and the highest opening for both a traditionally-animated movie and a movie a based on a TV show.
