I have got to see this somehow...it looks dreadful - but fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M_QC2fatXQ Beware flying chunks of meat from something with a mouth like a porpoise.

I found another bit of "Alien vs. Ninja." I don't think "Predator" has anything to worry about. I don't know how a horror movie writer can take a fight scene and make it erotic...I want to party with these people. This thing is like a Power Rangers episode created for an adult theater. And if you've got to dispatch a dangerous alien, stabbing him in the toolkit is definately the way to go. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJdggYt0glE

Well, that's not really very surprising; expensive useless shit is a reasonable target for theft. If I got my hands on one of those, I'd promptly swap it for an apartment in Beverly Hills, a Harley Davidson and a baseball team.

One day, the cars decided on two things.

They wanted to be free to go where they wanted,
and they hated humans.

I saw this as a youngster...one wonders if ideas from this went into Futurama. Mutants! Rocketships! Guns that shoot flames! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SB3SszYjEmA

That is absolutely wild...I thought of what cars would do in an F-5 tornado. All that's missing is the debris and that loud roaring sound.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-21268042 We got mentioned on BBC again...the storm woke me up around 1:30 am. We got some damage to trees and powerlines in Castleton where I get most of my art supplies.

After last night's brew-haha about Joe Flacco's dirty word that slipped out, I thought it would be fun to pull out the old Bobby Knight interviews. We used to tolerate this kind of dialogue (and the beeps) nearly every night on the news here in Indiana. With those not familiar with Coach Knight, he was the inspiration for the chair-throwing scene by Professor Farnsworth in "Time Keeps On Slippin'." He currently can be heard in the broadcast booth of many games. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Onfzet1xxs

BTW, the university finally let him go around 2000, but he had been acting this way since the 1970's.

Not so much random and fun as interesting and potentially very useful. Anyone who wants to avoid using Google's services as much as possible (and it's surprising how much the google has infested our lives these days) could do worse than to read this blog, wherein the author outlines viable alternatives to almost all of google's services. Admittedly it's 3 ears old so it's a little bit ut of date (cuil doesn't exist any more, for example) but it shows how surprisingly easy it is to escape from Google's grasping, er, grasp.

I'll be checking out Zoho myself. Looks like it might be a good way to share and collaborate on documents.
"Some questions are logically nonsensical because the querent thinks they know more than they do. A lot of these have the form 'How do I use X to accomplish Y?' There's nothing wrong with this, except that sometimes X is a chocolate-covered banana and Y is the integration of European currency systems."

Okay, so I listen to some great music, but it's not very often that I listen to something that makes me so excited to the point of bursting into some Internet forum, spitting swear words and praising its greatness, after all not everybody has to care about my personal tastes, but HOLY FUCK, THIS IS INCREDIBLE.

Ah, you think I'll just put the link in there and force you to click on it so you'll know what I'm talking about? No, I won't. It's the album Exit!, by the Fire! Orchestra, a 29 piece band playing some of the most aggressive and scary free jazz you'll ever hear.

The Skull of Regret.

They should have installed one of these at the airport I used to work at.
And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing or situation - some fact of my life - unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake...I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world, but on what needs to be changed in me and my attitudes.

Perfect. Wonder if it hangs out with the Lizard of Guilt from Oglaf?

Managed to find a non-pornographic image here. (Violent, though.)

I found this quite interesting...I once wrote a story where Fry accessed a video version of Professor Farnsworth at a mausoleum, and this is even more sophisticated than what I'd written about. Could this be what Fry might have accessed? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21887750
