I've been drawing Simpsons so much, that now, it's the only style I can draw, which couldn't have come at a worse time... Uh, but nevermind about that. How does one make a new style of drawing? I just can't get out of this rut. Or at least tell me how to stop drawing Simpsons-style. I really need help!

yeah try drawing them 8 hours a day 5 days a week.  Anyway, the thing that I do is whenever I get free time at work I'll just doodle.  Whatever pops into my head I'll just jot down real quick.  Of course in other styles besides simpsons, the main thing is finding another interest you have and go with that.  Try finding something that's completley different.  Like the kingdom hearts stuff I did over at dev art.  Way different styles, but of course I combined them but still.  Bottom line, just go back to what you were used to before.

sorry to pop in like this, but there are two problems with this. 1 this thread is a bit on the old side, and 2 Ameture Poet has been banned from GFWC,as far as i know, indefinetly.  Wink
