Not much to say about it. This is a top notch crossover/parody... thing. I don't know much about Sailor Moon, and I was never very interested in it until this script came along, but as far as I can tell, you give the premise a nice enough twist. Lisa's characterisation truly shines, and her co-heroines Allison, Jessica and Laura are perfectly evolved from their rather minor roles on the show. The comedy and drama are balanced very well, with many hilarious running jokes (I especially enjoyed the one with Evangelion and Milhouse) and many poignant scenes (I don't think Lisa was the only one who cried at the end of Part 6).

I'm going off on a tangent here... but so many dramatic writers seem to think they have to address topics like death or bereavement to be truly dramatic. In some parts of this script, you managed to create genuine tragic pathos out of the commonplace feeling of rejection and being the wrong person for the job. For that, and so much more, I salute you. (And of course, the last bits had their due of death as well. The SFWC girls! YAY!)

I can't find many problems. The manga and animé refs were a stumbling-block, of course... I don't think I got more than a third. Then again, I have some kind of hate-hate relationship to animé.  :) The problem with this problem is, even the ones I didn't get were fun. (And who would *not* love Bart going to China and being chased by everyone? Yes, I know, that was out of Ranma. I don't care.) Also, the SFWC girls... perfect, flattering, irreverent parody, but... [responsible impartial reviewer] not many non-members might enjoy it. [/responsible impartial reviewer]

Now, if you will excuse me... NEMESISU SORED MAKU UPU! [turns into the black-robed Sailor Nemesis] I'm off to castigate someone else. Like Minako. Because of your scriptwriting skills, you will be spared.

Well, I'll finally say what I said half a year ago, that the ending was quite satisfying.  The appearance of the real senshi was gratifying to anyone just a tad uncomfortable with the thought of Lisa as Usagi.   Of course, I wish I was as anime-friendy as most of this board, since the sundry refs to other titles were in full force and only increased with time.  Still, even for one who doesn't get them, the comedy and drama are in full effect.  Lisa's confusion at everything mixed with a seeming innate knowedge of these events was vintage Lisa, just how we'd like to think she'd react.  Her leadership skills even in the face of all this was what drove everything.  One part of the story that deserves greater recognition was Laura's characterization.  I've never seen a better job with her; she is Kino Makoto--big, strong, and tough yet very caring and extremely attractive; you'd think the role was made for her.  Allison isn't far behind; since Lisa is unavailable for Ami, she's close to perfect (though I can't imagine her, say, going underneath a car to do repairs).  This belongs among the best crossovers ever.

Right sorry this took so long, I had to go through my old posts and stuff. Please bear in mind this is an overall thing made up from various things I said about it along the way.

Ok some collated opinions, I really liked the Michale Jackson joke in the first part and, the Luna on the computer being L337 (Yes I know but in this context I think it’s allowed.) Then there’s Lisa figuring she must be hallucinating, I don’t blame her frankly. The next part had the funny solution to getting the old people back on the bus and the reaction of Jessica towards the end was priceless. (If you haven’t seen the picture go and see it.) Ok part three, the main things I’d say I liked there are Joe the weirdo and Dogbert…well Dilbert/Dogbert the whole thing. After that the “I’m glad we’re not effected line cracked me up, the joke about Kernyite thinking Dolphite was a chick was hilarious IMO. Then there’s the stuff about blaming video games and Jessica acting funny, pretty sweet. It’s not all good co’s the Rev Lovejoy Yuma and the Homer and Bart going to China bit aren’t exactly side splitting IMO but you can’t win em all I guess. Well the next bit was both dramatic and informative, I’d like to thank you for giving me at least SOME idea of what’s actually going on in SM. As for specifics Minako’s comic book line and bit about the British and flags was very funny. The Joan of Arc ref was cool to. It was slightly marred by the fact you screwed up Farnsworth’s name but I guess if your writing at 3 am or something we can forgive that. Oh and I remember at this point I liked it better than the series. (No s*8tting either. I did.)

Then there’s the final part, the whole Laura transforming and the boy’s reaction was hilarious, I LOLed. Then of course there's the Star Wars ref, plenty of violence and to paraphrase Torion Kel "fire stranger so much fire" Then I speculated about them having a pro wrestling match. There was then IIRC more senseless attritional violence, an FFX ref that was kinda funny and one last line about Minako. Then there’s the finale, which IIRC featured a playoff between Lisa and Queen whatshernamenutter. Of course the “How should I know” line reminded me of WhateverQuest (Everquest even.) that’s why I found it funny. (Equipment loss.) Then there’s the pure drama of buttkicking for goodness and everyone comes back to life, eh I guess you where right bad J Pop can fix anything. You know I enjoyed this almost as much as TIS and that I think is probably the best thing I could say about it. Nice one.

Well, Steve, I can't think anything to say but... to say you've done another SFWC masterpiece. I don't know where to start from... So many fun stuff, so many laughs, so much action, it's all here. You didn't waste any oportunity to create something hilarious or breathtaking. The characterizations are flawless, and the situations you created are sheer genius. I laughed a lot at some parts (SFWC girls rocked hard, the l33t computer, "No more Ms. Nice Youma," and so on), and the action just kept me going till the end. Like I said, there's nothing much to say here. It's just brilliant, and you deserve a lot for this, Steve.

Simpmoon was a fantastic crossover, Steve.  I certainly got a lot of enjoyment from reading the scripts.  You did a great job with characterization, with everyone from Springfield seamlessly represented in the Sailor Moon universe, and other manga/anime.  The humorous parts were  genuinely funny, the drama was never cheesy, and the fight scenes were well done.
As someone who was familiar with Sailor Moon, I thought you did a stellar job working the storylines from the show into the plot of the piece.  Cartoon Network is airing Sailor Moon again in the afternoons, and I can tell you that your piece has enhanced and altered the way I watch the show now.
Steve, you should be very proud.  This project was well worth the effort, in my opinion.  I really hope that you end up writing more Simpmoon in the future.

I know i would only repeat what others have said so far, but it has to be said. This fic is a damn great crossover, a brilliant comedy and a shocking drama in the final parts.
Whatever you may like, anime or non anime, this SimpMoon has it all... being funny even in parts someone might get easily lost. (I too didn't get some of the references but i still enjoyed the bits )

Imho, the strong poin of this one is the charachterization.  Hands down (wow, i said it! ) Laura shines everywhere and Lisa follows right after. The plot is complex enough for giving the charachter a free range of "personality" and that helps a lot.
The plot comes after... mild at start, letting space for setting and jokes. Strong, dramatic and speedy at the end.

The End... i just loved it. Setting all in its place (well, almost ) but far from being cheesy or clichèd. And very emotive.
I didn't talk of the jokes and funny parts because they are too much, scattered throughout the fic and "melted" in the situations. A perfect mix..

All thumbs up! This is indeed worth every second Steve spent on it.

Again, to repeat others, I would just be repeating what others said.  However I have to say that this was extremely funny, in fact, so funny I had to stop myself from laughing(laughing and other loud noises are kinda frowned upon in libraries ).

But that's not to take away the seriousness of the latter parts, as they were written with some thought, instead of directly copying the storyline from SM and just altering the names and throwing in the odd joke here and there.
The whole 'Luna making a mistake' thing was a good idea and for those of us who've seen SM(yes, I've seen it I'm sorry to say :uhdrop: ), it made us want to see the next part of the story even more to see what happened(well, it did for me anyway).

On the whole, I loved it and I give it 8/10.
